Transgender Workshop information: (Camp Contact, Sunday 4pm) Going to burns provides us with a special melting pot of people. This one workshop can actually help to make you less of an asshole ... Unfortunately, sometimes when you mix Radical Self-Expression and Radical Inclusion the outcome can be less than ideal, due to poorly navigated conflicts which arise as a result of varying experiences and perspectives. Come join us at Camp Contact on Sunday afternoon at 4pm for a discussion/workshop/Q&A about Transgender & Gender Variant folks at burns. Learn ways to more sensitively approach Transgender & Gender Variant persons, when you would like to talk but are concerned about being offensive. We hope to help you shape your questions into a more appropriate format, particularly in regard to when and where you ask them. We shall dive pretty deeply into terminology, respect issues, and phrasing. We encourage all Gender Variant folks to come join us and share your stories.
