t's time to get our Events lineup together! Camp Contact is well known on the playa for offering a variety of engaging and transformative events, and it's the reason why we are assigned a chunk of space in a prime location on the Playa! A lot goes into making our events happen:
Setting up shade structures, air-conditioned domes, and other spaces to welcome anyone on the playa to join us in a keen environment with sweet ambiance for learning and exploration, including lighting, sound systems, decor, and squish.
Maintaining and enhancing these structures throughout the year, and then packing them up safely during strike to be ready for the next year.
Collecting event submissions, scheduling them, entering them into the Burning Man What Where When system, and creating printed flyers with a rundown of our events and for each day they happen. Updating the schedule either online or in print/dry-erase board as things change, up until the day the event actually happens.
Actually presenting the events! While we welcome anyone with relevant content to offer events and workshops in our spaces, most of the presenters are camping with us!
Most important of all: DeMOOPIng and organizing each space so that it's clean and welcoming to our friends joining us each day.
