We transport gear to and from Love Burn. We would like your help at load-in.
Camp Contact is pleased to offer a dedicated shipping container from the DMV area to Love Burn and back.
We will have drop-off times in Central VA (outside Richmond) (Friday, February 10) and at GlowHouse in Washington, DC on Saturday, February 11th between 10 am and 4 pm. If absolutely needed, you may also drop off your container at the GlowHouse garage prior to Saturday or sometime on Sunday, February 12th. We prefer that you coordinate with someone else who is bringing stuff to the container who can drop off your stuff in person on Saturday at GlowHouse. Text Darrell for the combo if you don't have it. Stay tuned on the Camp Contact at LoveBurn Telegram group for more details as the drop-off day approaches.
The pickup & dropoff point for your gear at LoveBurn is at Camp Contact, which will be in the far parking lot off of Arthur Lamb Jr Road.
CONTAINER RULES -- NO JOKE, NO EXCEPTIONS!
TL;DR: do not pack anything that could delay or compromise the successful delivery of containers, vehicles, or anyone's items.
NO PERISHABLES, CONTRABAND, DRUGS, FLAMMABLES, COMBUSTIBLES, AEROSOLS, or GAS:
DO NOT PACK drugs, guns, fireworks, illegal contraband, or life forms. Your mistakes will jeopardize the entire container! If we catch you with anything suspicious, we will not ship your items!
DO NOT PACK gas, explosives, lithium batteries, or other batteries you can't take on airplanes, pressurized canisters, or illegal substances of any kind.
We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
We reserve the right to open any bin or item to ensure there isn’t anything that could result in containers or vehicles being stopped or risks of damage to any other items.
If your items cause our containers or trucks to be stopped for any reason, or if your items cause any undue damage (beyond normal wear and tear or jostling) to other items, containers, or vehicles, you will be responsible for impacts and costs.
Clearly label your items with your Name, Phone Number, and Camp Name, and apply tape designated for your camp to make the bins easily distinguishable.
Do not pack large volumes of fluids or especially heavy items. Do not pack jugs of water or beverages, you can get these items in Miami and bring them in with you, or have a fellow campmate bring them in for you. Our goal is to have bins that weigh less than 40 lbs each.
When you drop off your bin, ensure that it has your legal name written on it and Zip Ties (also available). Also, apply the Tape identifying your camp on all four sides. Camp Contact is using "CANDY CANE" Red and White striped tape which will be available at the drop-off points, check with your camp lead to find out what tape to put on your bin.
