We gather as an intentional community in this temporary autonomous zone of Playa Del Fuego to celebrate Transformational Interactions.
We are specifically committed to ensuring the emotional and spiritual well-being of our camp mates, and are dedicated to checking in with them, celebrating community, naming desires, honoring consent, offering gifts and revering declines of those gifts when they come, demanding a "Hell Yes" from the other when considering any edgy interaction.

Playa Del Fuego was Camp Contact's First Burn, which we attended in the Spring of 2007. The area we got placed, Woodhenge, is an area that was intended to be barn that never was built. When we first started attending PDF, we camped right next to it, and we were later offered this space and for now, have remained in this space each burn.

Please note there are no Dumpsters at PDF this time. Please help by taking a trash bag and a recycling bag home with you. Please bring a metal or sturdy plastic cup to drink with, preferably with a clip or carabiner to easily carry it with you. We have plates and silverware for our meals.
Please sign up to help cook or clean up after one of the meals listed at:
What do I need to bring to Playa Del Fuego?
You will need to bring whatever you need to be comfortable camping… it gets hot in the middle of the day, and might get cold at night, you may want sun protection.
- Sleeping structure (Please note you cannot set up a hammock on the trees at PDF but you can set up your own freestanding one)
- Sleeping bag and pad
- Clothes for a wide variety of weather types
- Tooth brush and such
- A mug or sturdy cup that you can attach to your person with a clip, so that you can walk around with it. At burns, we don't like to use disposable items like plastic cups.
- Personal eating utensils (bowl, plastic plate, spoon, fork) Note, these may get intermingled with other people's stuff, if you are attached to the utensils you bring, please put them back in your tent each time after using them.
- Moisturizer for skin, SPF Lip Balm
- Earplugs, if you're a light sleeper
- Leather work gloves, for setup and take down
- Flashlight/head lamps
- Snacks/Energy Bars
- Beverages, some non-alcolholic and hydrating (coconut water is great for this)
- 1-2 gallons of water
- Yoga Mat. Much of freeform is concrete or asphalt, you may want to bring extra cushions.
- Knee Pads (for dancing)
- Fun Costumes (We may set up a dressing room/ costume share space...if you have costumes that you'd like to share with others or give away, please bring them!)
What you DON'T need to bring:

We will make a What, Where, and When for our camp and distribute it.

If you can't quite afford the minimum amount of dues asked for, please pay what you can, we won't turn you away if you can't pay, and things are a lot more expensive now, thank you for supporting Camp Contact!

We come together to share a meal for breakfast and dinner each day. You can opt-out of the meal plan and reduce your dues by $20.00. All meals have a vegetarian component and we typically have some carnivorous choice. We request that everyone who is part of the meal plan contribute to a meal shift in one of the following roles for one of the meals:
- Lead Chef- Vegetarian
- Lead Chef- Carnivore
- Food Purchaser
- Meal Prep
- Kitchen clean-up
Please sign-up here. These roles are fluid and by signing up for helping for a given meal, you may end up taking on multiple roles for that meal as negotiated by your team. Also, keeping the kitchen and the rest of camp is everyone's responsibility, so please help with this throughout the burn.
During the middle of they day we are usually playing, connecting and enjoying our bliss, so lunch, if you desire it, is on you. We encourage you to bring snacks, beverages, alcoholic beverages and water. Hydration is key! We do provide Coffee and tea for each meal, and some meals may have more beverage choices.

We will build camp on Thursday and Friday Morning! If you want to come early on Thursday share that info.
