Camp CONTACT will be returning to the Playa Del Fuego festival,
Memorial Day Weekend, Thursday, May 21 – Monday, May 25th,
in Odessa, Delaware.

Playa Del Fuego (PDF) is a Burning Man
Regional Event that happens twice a year with around 1000 attendees.
Camp Contact is a regular camp at PDF dedicated to Contact Improv Dance and other
movement forms. We have a 30′ in diameter covered dome that we set
up and use as our dance space. The space is available for classes
and jams. In addition to Contact Improv classes, we’ve hosted Yoga, Modern Dance, Butoh, Ballet, Martial Arts and many others. If you’re coming to PDF and want to offer a class, let us know and we’ll fit you in to the schedule!
We will have a nice kitchen with lots of pots and pans and utensils and shade, as well as a hang out area that is shady.
We also hope to set up a body work area, and have an 18′ in diameter dome available for this. If you have a massage table you can bring, that would be great!
Our camp will consist of twenty or so people camping together at this camp for the weekend. While most of us will have some interest in dance or movement arts, not everyone has this focus. If you’re interested in camping with us, there are a few spots available. We ask for $15 contribution to cover gas for the generator, gas for the stove, wear and tear to infrastructure and the trailer, and for other consumables that get used to support the camp. Contact Darrell if you’re interested.
We also ask that people bring food and/or beverages that are sharable. Typically, camp members will offer to cook a meal here or there, and spontaneously collaborate to make food happen. More details on this as we get nearer to the event.
Admission to Playa Del Fuego is $35.00, please get your tickets from the PDF website when they go on sale. They typically sell out fast soon after they go on sale. The first round of 500 tickets sold out on March 21st, the next round of 500 will go on sale on April 21st at 9pm Eastern Time. Please create an account on the ticket system before this time so that you know that your login works.
If you’re interested in offering a class in our space or camping with us for this event, or have questions,
please contact Darrell Duane at d@duane.com or 202 667 8728.
