a nexus for the exploration and sharing of the art of Contact Improvisation in the social experiment of radical participation and permission that is Black Rock City.
For the past four years,
Contact Camp has been both a group project for sharing Contact Improvisation on the playa and a place to stay and share community for Contact Improvisers.
This past year (2008), Contact Camp was home to 50+ contactors from around the world and hosted two classes a day in Contact Improvisation Fundamentals plus special topic contact classes, classes in other body-studies, and the daily Contact Jam at Center Camp … a unique Contact Jam that takes place in the midst of the hustle and bustle of an active town center.
Vision … This is a group project. Those of us already on board for organization team feel pretty keen on maintaining some of the core visions that started contact camp … daily jams at center camp, twice daily contact fundamentals classes, special jams.
